Berthoud Local Educational Series continued on Saturday, May 4 with a lecture on Xeriscaping. Through the instruction of Master Gardener Kathy Mitchell, attendees learned new methods, materials, and plants that would create a beautiful and varied xeric landscape on the front range.
A staggering 50% of our annual water supply is used on landscaping. Consider a native and water-wise lawn to help conserve our natural resources. Plan ahead and take into account sun exposure, shade, and wind when planting.
