We (Brien & Alyssa) are the proud owners and operators of our small family business ABF Farms and Twin Peaks Creamery, located in Berthoud, Colorado.
At ABF Farms and Twin Peaks Creamery, we raise premium Colorado beef and craft artisan Alpine-style cheeses including our Rocky Mountain raclette, “Alpine”zeller, Colorado Flurries cheese curds (salted) and Evergreen Curdorado Cheese Curds (sour cream & onion).
Shortly after we got married in 2023 we established ABF Farms and started selling beef in early 2024, with the goal to start the cheese business. As we were selling beef, we started taking cheese classes, procuring equipment, and starting construction to open our cheese business, Twin Peaks Creamery. By summer 2025, we had started milking our cows and making cheese for the first time – selling our first wheels in winter of 2025. As of 2026, we have an ecommerce website where you can buy all of our beef and cheese products as well as a farm stand on our farm to pick up our beef and cheese as well as other farm to table items such as eggs, honey, and seasonal produce.
How did you get into this business?
Brien’s family has been in agriculture and dairy industry since the 1960s. The farm we operate on was his grandparents farm where they started their dairy. Once his grandparents dairy farm relocated to Eastern, Colorado; Brien started his own diary business with his dad on this property from 2017 to 2024. He was milking upwards of 500 cows and caring for over 1,000 cows. In 2024, Brien’s dad decided to retire from the dairy industry so we opened ABF farms and started our beef and cheese adventure.
How can consumers get your product?
Online through our website — abfarms.co. We offer free local pick-up and domestic shipping options. Our farmstand on our farm (self-checkout-Card/Cash). We are also throughout several cheese shops in Colorado.
Favorite thing about what you do?
Being able to do this all together with our family and continue a family tradition. Also – we love all our animals – their different personalities and quirks. Never ending entertainment (and work )
Favorite thing about Berthoud?
The history and small town feel & support – Brien grew up here – he has seen it’s highs, lows, and big changes on the farm and in the town & loved every minute of it. Alyssa – I grew up in Littleton and Denver – I love the small town feel and being able to enjoy our small piece of land. Also, the cocina breakfast burritos are phenomenal.
Upcoming events or any special announcements?
Stayed tuned for holiday bundles and hopefully the grand re-opening of our farm once the roundabout is complete.
