On Saturday, May 6, 2023, attendees of the Gardening with Emmy class learned of their access to Berthoud Local's community plot at Pioneer Park. There was a lively talk about each participant's experience of gardening locally. We discussed which cold-tolerant vegetables do particularly well in Colorado, learned about companion planting, and sampled some of the tasty asparagus from the garden.
Berthoud Local Educational Series will be back at the Pioneer Park plot on Saturday May, 20 for Composting 101 from 1-3 PM.
