We are heading into spring and there is something about this time of year that feels rejuvenating and hopeful. The warmer days and longer nights are a welcomed change.
While the Town of Berthoud is wrapping up the wonderful renovation at the community garden, we at Berthoud Local, have been behind the scenes preparing for great things this growing season. To recap, we were able to utilize the gardens at Ivy Stockwell Elementary and the Berthoud Community Library last summer to help connect the gardening community and still provide fresh produce for the House of Neighborly Services.
Now that the community garden is ready for us, we will be back at Pioneer Park on Monday nights, starting in late May/early June to garden as a group. If you have not had a chance to make it over to the community garden, please do! The space is not only beautiful but will provide Berthoud Local with the ability to grow lots of produce and provide education on local agricultural practices to the community. We couldn’t be more pleased and are so excited to share it with you! So dust off those tools and gloves and meet us in the garden… and as always, email me with any questions you might have. The latest progress updates from the Community Garden at Pioneer Park!
